Therapeutic Management of Sexual Abuse Allegations in Custody and Visitation Disputes

Sexual-abuse allegations in the context of custody and visitation disputes have been dealt with primarily by trying to ascertain whether they are true or false. It is suggested that in many cases, such determination may be elusive and, therefore, a therapeutic approach that may be in the best interest ofthe child is advocated. A case illustrates the handling of such allegations in a therapy setting.
