Therapeutic Approaches to Phobia: A Comparison

In this paper we first review nosology and epidemiology pertinent to the study of phobia. For psychoanalysis and behavior therapy classical formulations, important early cases, modern theoretical variations, and various treatments derived from these formulations are presented. The two basic approaches are then compared along a number of variables.
