Unearthing Shame in the Supervisory Experience

The supervisee typically experiences shame in psychotherapy supervision. The discovery and exploration of that shame may enhance both the therapy and the supervision. A case example is presented to illustrate sources of the supervisee’s shame. Recommendations for exploring shame-related material in supervision are offered.
