Abstract
This case study deals with an 11-year-old girl who is genetically a boy (chromosome 46XY). It examines some of the contributing factors that are causing her conflicts around her identity and the psychological difficulties she is experiencing. The paper touches on the therapeutic process used to enable her to develop a better sense of self.
