The Resurrection-of-the-Dead Syndrome

The article focuses on three cases to illustrate psychopathological responses of key family members toward a patient who has severe medical illness and who survives beyond the prognosticated time, either due to intervention of medical technology or newer chemotherapy. It shows that even though the patient has been cured, the pathological perception of the family members remains.
