Treatment of Sleepwalking: A Controlled Study

A blind, crossover design was used to evaluate specialized hypnotherapy for the treatment of severe sleepwalking. The subjects, who were free of significant psychiatric illness, responded well to six brief sessions. Follow-up of one year has revealed lasting improvement of both objective and subjective symptoms in a number of subjects.
