“The Children’s Feedback Game”: An Approach for Modifying Disruptive Group Behavior
Abstract
This paper describes a game which can be used to modify disruptive behavior of latency-age children involved in group interaction. The game engages children as observers of their own behavior and the behavior of their peers. The conceptual basis for the game is described. It is argued that change resulting from this procedure is expected to be more effective than change resulting from limits imposed by the group leader. Case material illustrating the effect of the technique is also presented.
