Object Relations Theory and Pharmacopsychotherapy of Anxiety Disorders
Abstract
As the use of combined psychotherapy and pharmacotherapy becomes more prevalent, psychiatrists are beginning to delineate how particular psychotherapy approaches deal with combined treatments. This process needs to take place in regard to specific disorders as well as to particular therapy approaches. This paper outlines how an object relations framework can be used in the combined treatment of anxiety disorders.
