The Use of Psychodrama in the Hospital Setting

Psychodrama is often used as an adjunct treatment for hospitalized patients. In this paper, we review our experience in using psychodrama on a hospital inpatient service. Positive aspects of the modality as well as potential difficulties and antitherapeutic effects are discussed. In addition, some questions are raised regarding psychodrama as an insight-oriented therapy aimed at promoting growth in some patients.
