Psychopathology of the Abusing Parent
Abstract
Child abuse has lately reached epidemic proportions, with the most severe cases occurring in children under three years of age. Psychopathology of abusing parents and contributory factors are analyzed. Many involved families can be rehabilitated. Successful treatment includes psychotherapy for parents and temporary removal of the children from the homes.
