Parenting Errors and Their Correction in Group Psychotherapy
Abstract
Group psychotherapy can provide a unique understanding of functional inadequacies in relation to parenting responses patients received throughout development. A model is proposed for identifying deficient parenting responses and classifying the resulting emotional difficulties. Treatment strategies are outlined for using the group’s resources to promote the maturation of each of its members.
