A Developmental Treatment Program for the Chronic Patient
Abstract
Chronic patients in the state hospital have been receiving minimal treatment mainly due to the lack of an appropriate diagnostic and treatment model. By considering stages of development and the problems of the chronic patient, the present report describes the proper role of the state hospital within the mental health system.
